There have been rumors in recent months that Apple is planning to increase the price of its most expensive iPhone. The latest report on the subject now gives a specific number. According to Barclays analyst Tim Long, quoted by Apple Hub, the price of the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models will not change. The iPhone 15 Pro, on the other hand, could cost $100 more. For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the analyst even assumes a price increase of 100 to 200 US dollars.

The price increase follows Apple’s internal logic that the upcoming iPhone 15 series will have the same demand as the current 14 series. That means Apple expects the Pros to outsell the base models. Thus, Cupertino assumes that 85 million iPhone 15 cell phones will also be sold in 2023. And most of these will be Pro and Pro Max models, which will have a higher price tag on top of that.
However, the forecast price increase is aimed at potential US buyers. This is not good news, however, as the price increase will be even higher in Europe and India. And the iPhone is traditionally more expensive in these regions anyway. The iPhone 14 Pro is €300 more expensive in Europe than in the US, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max costs €350 more. It remains to be seen how well another price hike will sell.
That being said, reports of the new iPhone 15 Pro action button are slowly accumulating. In addition, new OLED displays with smaller bezels are under discussion.
