Apple will unveil the iPhone 15 series on September 12. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, most of the production issues are now resolved. The color options are also already known. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will launch in grey, white, black and blue, while the base model and iPhone 15 Plus will come in black, pink, yellow, blue and green.

Issues hitting the rumor mill so far include a new stacked camera sensor design, thinner bezels on the displays, and larger batteries. All these issues should be fixed by now. Nevertheless, the rumor persists that the premiere of the top model Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max will be delayed. According to Kuo, this is because the project started late. Thus, the mass production schedule lags behind the other models.
Apple solved the stacked camera sensor issue by an increase in production capacity. Although up to 15% of iPhone 15 and 15 Plus shipments could be affected. The battery and display issues were fixed in the same way. In addition, Apple had to postpone the planned virtual button design with haptic feedback until next year. In the same step, the resources that were freed up went into the production of the titanium frames for the Pro models. Titan replaces the previous stainless steel frames.
The production problems with the display edges of the new Apple cell phones were allegedly solved by switching to other suppliers. According to previous reports, Samsung Display is now taking the bulk of the orders. BOE, on the other hand, must first fix errors in the panel and driver architecture.
