The new Apple iPad Air (2024) is now available in two sizes – 11 and 13 inches, both still with 60 Hz IPS LCD displays with Liquid Retina resolution. The 11-inch model offers a resolution of 2,360 x 1,640 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The 13-inch model instead has a resolution of 2,732 x 2,048 pixels and a brightness of 600 nits.

The design is exactly like the iPad Air (2022). However, the Apple iPad Air (2024) offers a 12 megapixel front camera in landscape format for a more natural experience during video calls. There is another single 12 megapixel camera on the back.

The new iPad Air models work on Apple M2 chips (8 core CPU and 10 core GPU) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of base storage. TouchID is still integrated into the power button and both sizes of the new iPad Air are compatible with Apple’s current Magic Keyboard and the new Apple Pencil Pro.

The new Airs also feature Wi-Fi 6E, with the cellular models also supporting 5G connectivity via an eSIM. The software side is covered by iPadOS 17.4 by default.

The Apple iPad Air (2024) is available in Space Gray, Starlight, Purple and Blue. The 11-inch model costs $599 for the 128GB Wi-Fi version, while the 13-inch version starts at $799. Both new iPad Air models are available for pre-order now, while open sales in the US are set to begin next week.
