Amazfit last year launched the T-Rex 2 rugged smartwatch in four colors: Ember Black, Astro Black & Gold, Wild Green, and Desert Khaki. Added to this is now a blue model called Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) to celebrate World Ocean Day. For every T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue sold, $10 will go to Coral Guardian to support a coral restoration project at the Hatamin Marine Protected Area in Indonesia. Buyers will receive a certificate of gratitude and photos of the rescued corals.
The Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) features a recycled silicone strap. But the rest of the materials are also 100% eco-friendly. They include biodegradable plastic that accounts for only 6% of the total packaging, biodegradable non-mineral ink and biodegradable electroplated aluminum.
The packaging of the Special Edition also differs visually from the regular models, as it is blue. However, the differences are only cosmetic as all models share the same specs and features.
However, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) is a bit more expensive at $229.99/€229.90 than the regular $189.99 version. The special edition can already be pre-ordered in the USA and Europe via the official Amazfit website. Deliveries will begin on June 15th.
