Samsung Galaxy Buds On: New images reveal the clip-on design

We first heard about the Samsung Galaxy Buds On when rumors about the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 were starting to gain momentum. The watches were officially unveiled, but the Buds hadn’t. We now know that they will be Samsung’s first clip-on headphones. Here are some more details and pictures.

Clip-on earbuds aren’t inserted into the ear canal like traditional earbuds. Instead, their clip design keeps them in place – which can be significantly more comfortable for extended wear. Reports also indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Buds On utilize open air conduction. This means that sound is directed to the eardrum via the edges of the ear canal.

Rumours suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Buds On will feature nodding gestures similar to the Galaxy Buds4 – nodding your head for a positive action (accepting a call) or shaking your head for a negative one (rejecting a call).
As usual, the Galaxy earbuds support AI assistants like Bixby and Gemini. They also have a feature that automatically increases the volume in noisy environments – due to their open design, active noise cancellation (ANC) is unlikely with these earbuds. At least, not very effective ANC.
We still don’t know when Samsung will release the Galaxy Buds On. They weren’t presented alongside the new Galaxy Watches, nor at the launch of the Galaxy S26 FE, nor today with the Galaxy Tab S12 series.
