OnePlus 16: Images, technical specifications and launch date
After recently revealing the color options and all the details about the camera of the upcoming OnePlus 16, the company has now also announced the release date of the phone in China.
The OnePlus 16 will launch in China on October 12th. The company announced the release date at its OnePlus Gaming Conference 2026 in China, where it also presented the gaming capabilities of the upcoming flagship in detail.
OnePlus 16 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip and 185 Hz / FPS
It was recently confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus flagship will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. The company has now announced that the smartphone will also feature a 185Hz refresh rate display and will support games like Arena Breakout, Nizhan: Future, Naruto Mobile, and Peace Elite at native 185Hz frames per second to perfectly match the refresh rate.
The phone will also feature a custom-made display chip, a dedicated chip for touch response, and another chip for connectivity.
It was also confirmed that the OnePlus 16 supports a system-wide refresh rate of 165 Hz.
It will be equipped with a 200MP main camera on the back and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and will be available in three color variants at launch.
