OnePlus 16: Design and color options officially revealed

Although a release date for the OnePlus 16 is still pending, the company has now fully revealed the design, color options, and RAM and storage configurations of its upcoming flagship. The smartphone is already available for pre-order in China.

The OnePlus 16 will look largely similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 15, but it will be available in new color options. OnePlus has confirmed that the flagship will be available in Dark Forest (black), Mars Masterpiece (light orange), and Tomorrow Starlight (gray). The orange and Starlight variants feature a unique pattern on the back.

The OnePlus 16 will be available in China in the following storage configurations: 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB, 16/512 GB, and 16 GB/1 TB. Interested customers can pre-order the device from the official OnePlus online store.
OnePlus 16 with 165 Hz system refresh rate
In a Weibo post, the company only hinted at the general launch of the OnePlus 16 in China, stating that the smartphone would be available soon. According to a recent leak, the flagship could be unveiled in October.

Android 17 and OnePlus’s own ColorOS 17 user interface have been confirmed. The company also announced that the OnePlus 16 will support a system-wide refresh rate of 165 Hz, which aligns with earlier rumors. A more recent leak suggests it might even feature an even more powerful 185 Hz AMOLED panel.
Furthermore, a new OnePlus device, presumably the OnePlus 16, was recently discovered on the Chinese 3C certification website. The listing suggests that the OnePlus smartphone supports 100-watt wired fast charging.
According to previous rumors, the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and will feature a 200 MP main camera on the back, a 9,000 mAh battery and a 6.78 inch AMOLED display.
