A few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy A08 was listed by an online retailer in the United Arab Emirates, and now the Korean company has officially unveiled it – without any fanfare, official press release, or anything of the sort. Samsung simply added the Galaxy A08 to its website in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Samsung Galaxy A08 features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 50 MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.8, a 2 MP auxiliary rear camera with an aperture of f/2.4, an 8 MP front camera and a 6,000 mAh battery.

It is powered by an unspecified chipset with a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor. This is paired with 4 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage. The device runs Android 17 with the One UI 9 interface and is slated to receive six major operating system upgrades as well as six years of security updates.

The smartphone is IP64 dustproof and waterproof, supports dual SIM, has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy A08 is available in silver, green, and dark blue. These are all the details Samsung has released so far.

Samsung Galaxy A08 prices

The price of the Galaxy phone in Europe is not yet known, but in the United Arab Emirates it was around 170 US dollars (147 euros).

Compared to the Galaxy A07, the only difference seems to be that the A08 has a 1,000 mAh larger battery. The Galaxy A18 4G was also unveiled today.
