Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra with NextGen M16 OLED display

According to industry sources cited by ET News, Samsung plans to equip its upcoming Galaxy S27 series, specifically the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, with its next-generation OLED panel, the M16. The panel is expected to offer higher brightness, improved energy efficiency, a longer lifespan, and more accurate color reproduction.

Interestingly, the M16 OLED display will not be used in the Galaxy S27 series. Samsung and iQOO confirmed at an event in China that the upcoming iQOO 16 will be equipped with the M16 OLED display. Furthermore, reports are circulating that the new Apple iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo will also be based on the M16 panel.

The report also includes information on the regular Samsung Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27+. Both Galaxy phones will be equipped with the Korean company’s M14 OLED display. While this isn’t the latest technology, it’s still an improvement over the M13 panels in the Galaxy S26 and S26+.
Last but not least, the report also suggests a similar upgrade for the Galaxy Z Fold9 series. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 also features an M13 OLED display.
