Fairphone Fairbuds 2 earbuds appear in two colors

Fairphone launched its first wireless earbuds, aptly named Fairbuds, in April 2024. Now the company is almost ready to unveil the second generation – the Fairphone Fairbuds 2, expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year (between October and December). A new leak has given us a first look at the new earbuds in green and black.

As you can see, the Fairphone Fairbuds 2 have two stems, while the original Fairphone Fairbuds do not. Their charging case is also thicker than that of the previous model, leading us to believe that Fairphone was able to fit in a larger battery than the 500 mAh of the original.

Unfortunately, the technical specifications and prices of the Fairbuds 2 have not yet been released. However, it can be assumed that, like the original Fairbuds, they will also be equipped with individually replaceable parts – the core concept of the Dutch manufacturer.
With the original Fairbuds, the batteries in the earbuds, the battery in the charging case, the silicone rings, the ear tips, and the outer shell of the charging case were all replaceable using a Phillips screwdriver and a pry tool.
