Samsung Galaxy A08: Retailer reveals first specs and official images

The Samsung Galaxy A08 appeared in the Google Play Console in August and was certified by the Brazilian certification authority Anatel a few days later. Since then, the smartphone has been quiet, but now it has surfaced at an online retailer in the United Arab Emirates.

The Samsung Galaxy A08 features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, an 8MP front camera, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

It’s powered by an unspecified chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz – Samsung is known for keeping quiet about the chipset used in its budget Galaxy smartphones. The aforementioned entry in the Google Play Console identified it as a MediaTek Helio G99. The same source also listed the screen resolution as 720 x 1600 pixels.
The A08 comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage, but there is apparently also a version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The A08 is IP64 dustproof and splashproof and supports dual SIM. It is available in navy blue, silver, and green and is 8 mm thick.
Samsung Galaxy A08 prices
The online retailer in the United Arab Emirates lists a price of 625 AED (147 euros/170 US dollars) for the Samsung Galaxy A08, which is slightly cheaper than the recommended retail price of 659 AED (155 euros/179 US dollars).
Compared to the Galaxy A07, which was released in August 2025, the A08 has a 20% larger battery. However, that seems to be the only obvious change so far.
