MediaTek announced today on X when the company’s next flagship chipset will be released. The MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro will be unveiled on September 15th at 2:30 PM Chinese time. This corresponds to 2:30 AM in New York, 7:30 AM in London, 8:30 AM in Central Europe, 9:30 AM in Eastern Europe, and 12:00 PM in India. According to the article on X, the new product is a “professional chip” that enables a “professional experience” and also offers “professional efficiency” and “professional imaging,” including support for 4K slow motion at 240 frames per second. “Professional gaming” has also been considered: The company promises “AI-optimized graphics,” an improved HyperEngine, and “immersive ray tracing.” It seems the rumors were true and this will indeed be the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. Now we’ll have to wait and see if there will also be a Pro Max variant and/or a standard version of the Dimensity 9600 without the “Pro” designation. We’ll have the answer in six days at the latest.
