Redmi 17C 5G with Dimensity 6300 chip and 6,000 mAh battery officially announced

After a premature listing with retailers in Europe earlier this month, the Redmi 17C 5G has now been officially unveiled.

As the name suggests, this is the 5G counterpart to the Redmi 17C 4G and is therefore equipped with a Dimensity 6300 chipset. It features 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card, and a headphone jack is also included.

The Redmi phone features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 810 nits. The 8-megapixel front camera is housed in a teardrop-shaped cutout. On the back is a 50-megapixel main camera.
The software is based on HyperOS 3 with Android 16 as the operating system. The battery has a capacity of 6,000 mAh and supports 33-watt wired charging. The smartphone is also IP64 dustproof and waterproof.
The Redmi 17C 5G is available in black, brown (with a vegan leather cover), and purple. It costs 279 SGD (188 euros/220 USD) in Singapore and is expected to be available in other countries in the coming weeks.
