vivo X500 series will be launched in September

vivo has officially confirmed that the X500 series will be launched in September. The new product line replaces the vivo X300 series and includes the vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max models.

In a post on Weibo, vivo product manager Han Boxiao also revealed important details about the upcoming smartphones. The new product line is said to enable cinema-quality video recording.

vivo X500 Pro models with “ZEISS Ultra Dynamic Main Camera”

According to the manager, the vivo X500 Pro models will be equipped with a “ZEISS Ultra Dynamic Main Camera” based on a custom-made Phantom 900 sensor developed by Sony and vivo’s Blueprint imaging team.

The sensor is designed to offer a dynamic range of 17 f-stops while simultaneously supporting 4K slow-motion recording at 240 frames per second and 4K HDR video recording at 120 frames per second.

The manager also announced that the main camera of the vivo X500 Pro Max supports optical image stabilization with a field of view of up to 3°. The smartphones are also said to feature professional image stabilization compliant with the CIPA 7.0 standard.

In addition to video upgrades, the X500 series also offers improvements in photography, performance, operating system, and display. Further teasers are expected to reveal more details about the series in the coming days.
