Sony WH-1000XM4C: Images and technical specifications leaked

Sony released the WH-1000XM4 headphones in 2020, and consequently, they are no longer available. Now, the company is apparently working on a new version called the Sony WH-1000XM4C.

Rumors first surfaced a few weeks ago, and today new information has emerged – so the headphones are indeed in development. They are shown above in three colors.
Sony WH-1000XM4C with Bluetooth 6.0
The WH-1000XM4C headphones are rumored to support Bluetooth 6.0, a significant upgrade from the WH-1000XM4’s Bluetooth 5.0. However, battery life is expected to decrease: from 30 hours with ANC enabled to 27 hours, and from 38 hours without ANC to 34 hours. It’s unclear whether the new Bluetooth version is responsible for this.
The WH-1000XM4C will likely be released in different colors, and the NFC logo on the left earcup has been removed. Otherwise, they are identical to the WH-1000XM4. Rumors suggest they will cost €249.99 in the Eurozone and £219.99 in the UK. The new model is clearly intended as a more affordable alternative to the WH-1000XM6, while still offering excellent active noise cancellation (ANC).
