New Fairphone 6+ images show version in cobalt blue
At the end of July, a new version of the Fairphone 6 appeared – the Fairphone 6+. The new model boasts 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. That’s more than the original model with only 8 GB of RAM. Given current developments in the semiconductor industry, this move is quite unexpected.

In any case, the offer from NieuweMobiel was discovered and showed three color options: cobalt blue, horizon black, and forest green. Now the Dutch publication has also released images showing the first color:
More precisely, the leaked images show three accessories for the smartphone: the finger strap, the protective case, and the card holder. As far as we can tell from these images, there are no external changes to the 6+. Whether there are any further internal changes besides the RAM capacity is still unclear.

These aren’t new accessories, by the way. The original model has identical versions. Here they are in Forest Green (since the Series 6 isn’t available in Cobalt Blue – it only comes in Forest Green, Horizon Black, and Cloud White):
These are not attached magnetically like a MagSafe wallet, but are screwed onto the phone. Fairphone prefers that the work be done with a screwdriver.
Since the marketing materials for the Fairphone 6+ are already finished, the official unveiling should be imminent. Incidentally, Fairphone typically allows several years between releases – the Fairphone 6 was released in 2025, the Fairphone 5 in 2023, the 4 in 2021, and so on – therefore, version 7 isn’t expected until next year.
