New Google Pixel Watch 5 teaser mocks the competition
In just a few days, on August 12th, Google will unveil the Pixel 11 series and the Google Pixel Watch 5. Ahead of the event, the company has released a new video teaser for the smartwatch on the Pixel YouTube channel.
The video teaser is short and to the point, as you can see. It’s about making fun of Samsung Galaxy Watches and Apple Watches with their strange shapes that don’t really look like watches at all.

The Google Pixel Watch 5, on the other hand, “at least looks like a normal watch.” And that’s while simultaneously tracking your health, sleep, and fitness. In the latest leak, we already saw various marketing materials, from heart rate and sleep monitoring to running tracking and cardio reports, as well as health insights and Gemini AI.
Of course, the Pixel Watch 5 doesn’t have nearly the battery life of a typical smartwatch. Not to mention the endurance of some Chinese competitors or the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Apple Watch Ultra 3, but that’s not the point here. On the other hand, the prices are expected to be significantly lower.
