Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen): Leaked renderings reveal new design and new colors
Bose launched the QuietComfort over-ear headphones in 2023, and three years later, the company appears to be introducing the successor. Ahead of the expected launch, official renderings and information about the features of the Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen) have surfaced online. The folks at HotEUDeals, in collaboration with OnLeaks, have published what appear to be official renderings in six color options. The leak also reveals some key features of the upcoming headphones.
According to leaked promotional materials, the Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen) will feature a “refreshed look with a sleek, modern aesthetic” as well as “more soft details made of synthetic leather”.
The headphones feature redesigned oval ear cups, while the outer shell appears flatter than the first generation.
The headband appears wider and is covered in soft, padded faux leather. Another notable change is the contrasting color of the mesh lining in the ear cups.

Each earcup houses three microphones for active noise cancellation. The renderings also suggest that Bose will continue to use physical buttons for playback and other controls.
As far as mobility is concerned, the ear cups can be folded flat and stored in a carrying case, as can be seen in the leaked renderings at the top right.
The report indicates that the Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen) will be available in the colors black, DewDrop Mint, eucalyptus green, hazelnut distemper, rosewood mauve and white smoke.
Regarding price and availability, another recent report from Dealabs claimed that the headphones could be unveiled as early as next week, at a price of $359 (€350/£300).
The Bose headphones are also said to offer lossless sound output via USB Type-C, improved noise cancellation, and new listening modes.
