Huawei nova 16 SE unveiled with 8,500 mAh battery and Kirin 8020 chipset

As promised, Huawei has officially unveiled the newest member of the nova 16 series in China. The Huawei nova 16 SE features a powerful 8,500 mAh battery and a bright display with a stated peak brightness of 8,000 nits.


The Huawei nova 16 SE features a 6.84-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Kirin 8020 chipset and is available with up to 512GB of internal storage.


One of the biggest highlights of the mobile phone is its 8,500 mAh battery, which supports 66 watt wired fast charging.

For photography, the nova 16 SE features a dual rear camera with a 50 MP main sensor and a 1.5 MP color sensor (Red Maple). On the front is a 32 MP selfie camera.
The smartphone ships with HarmonyOS 6.1 and supports bidirectional satellite communication. Other connectivity options include dual-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
The nova 16 SE features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is dustproof and waterproof according to IP65.
Huawei nova 16 SE prices
Prices start at 2,499 CNY (321 Euro/370 US Dollar) for the 128GB version, while the 256GB and 512GB models cost 2,699 CNY (346 Euro/400 US Dollar) and 3,199 CNY (411 Euro/475 US Dollar) respectively.
The Huawei phone can currently be ordered from Huawei’s official online store in China; delivery is expected to begin next week. It will be offered in the following color options: Cherry Blossom Snow Sky, Dawn Orange, Starry Night Black, and Sky White.
