Tecno Borderless Concept Phone with 0 mm display bezels announced
Smartphones with ultra-thin bezels have been around for years, but a truly borderless display has remained unattainable. Tecno aims to change that with its Next-Gen Borderless Concept Phone, a prototype with a display completely without any bezels.
Tecno has confirmed in an official press release that its next-gen borderless concept smartphone features a display with 0 mm bezels. The concept device will be unveiled in September at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
According to the company, the 0 mm narrow display bezels were achieved through “advanced internal stacking technology, new screen packaging techniques and structural redesign”.

Tecno hasn’t yet released any technical details about these methods, but we expect to learn more when the concept phone is unveiled at IFA. Thanks to its 0 mm bezels, the concept smartphone is said to offer a true edge-to-edge display, enabling an immersive experience without any visible borders around the screen.
Tecno also released images comparing its next-gen Bezelless concept smartphone to the iPhone 17 Pro (top right), and the difference in frame thickness is immediately noticeable. However, the concept device still features a notch for the selfie camera.
The announcement also suggests that the 0mm frame technology could be used in future smartphones, potentially giving upcoming devices a distinctive look.
