The Google Pixel 11 series will be unveiled on August 12th, and in the run-up to the announcement, Shakil Barkat, the company’s vice president of devices and services, has confirmed what we all feared: price increases are imminent.

The Google Pixel 11 series is getting more expensive

Barkat announced, unsurprisingly, that Google, like all other consumer-facing technology companies, is also facing an unprecedented increase in costs. He noted that there has never been such a sharp rise in memory prices. The executive explained that the company had protected its customers from supply fluctuations for as long as possible, but the economic environment has fundamentally changed.

The entire Google Pixel 11 series will therefore undergo price adjustments, which will be dynamically adapted to availability. This affects not only the upcoming Pixel 11 devices, but also existing models like the Pixel 10a. Barkat unfortunately didn’t reveal exactly how much more expensive the devices will become, but said that Google will continue to offer promotions and trade-in deals to mitigate the impact.

According to recent leaks, the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are expected to increase in price by $100, while the 128GB storage option for the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will be dropped, also increasing the base price by $100 (the 256GB version remains unchanged from last year). The Pixel 11 Pro is also rumored to have only 12GB of RAM, compared to 16GB in its predecessor. If this proves true, it would undoubtedly be another attempt by Google to keep costs down.

Google Pixel 11 series in all colors

The launch of the Google Pixel 11 series is just around the corner, and almost all the details of the upcoming models have already leaked. A new leak has now revealed the full color palette for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL. The latest renderings, published by MyMobiles in collaboration with OnLeaks, show that the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will each be offered in four color options.

The standard model of the Pixel 11 is expected to be available in Fuchsia, Light Sterling, Moss, and Midnight Haze. Fuchsia appears to be a vibrant pink, making it the most striking color option in the lineup.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are expected to be released in the colors Dune, Light Fog, Midnight Haze and Pine.

The Dune and Pine variants of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL feature glossy, color-matched frames. The Dune model has a champagne-colored frame, while the Pine variant has a polished gold frame.

Google will unveil the Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, at its “Made by Google” event on August 12. The upcoming smartphones are expected to be powered by the new 2nm Tensor G6 chipset, feature three rear cameras, and a new Pixel Glow LED notification system on the back.

Rumours suggest that the standard Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch display, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to have a larger 6.8-inch screen.
