Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 unveiled with Exynos 2600 chip
After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung unveiled its latest foldable Galaxy Z smartphones, including the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8, at an Unpacked event in London. Samsung’s newest flip phone features a new chipset and improved software with One UI 9.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 looks identical in design to its predecessor, but is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in the USA and by the Exynos 2600 chipset in other regions.

The display specifications are the same as those of the Galaxy Z Flip7. The new flip phone features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It also has a 4.1-inch external display, also of the AMOLED type, which supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
For photos, there’s a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 12MP ultrawide camera. Selfies are taken with a 10MP camera integrated into the internal display. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 also features the same 4,300mAh battery as last year’s model. It supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
In terms of software and connectivity, the foldable device runs on Android 17-based One UI 9 and offers new Galaxy AI-powered FlexWindow features, including Now Brief on the outer screen. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and NFC. The foldable smartphone is also IP48 dustproof and waterproof.
It is available in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations in cream, graphite, and pink. There is also a mint-colored version, which will be available exclusively in the Samsung online shop.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 is $100/€100/£100 more expensive than the Z Flip 7. And this time, we can’t suggest an FE model as a cheaper alternative.

The base models come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Samsung has largely discontinued the free storage upgrade, but we did spot it in at least one country, so check availability on your local Samsung.com website. Keep in mind that the pre-order period runs until the end of the month. In most countries we checked, there are discounts that partially or fully cover the cost of upgrading from 256GB to 512GB. However, the exact details vary by region.
