Huawei MateBook Fold 2 with Kirin X9 chip and 24 GB RAM

Last May, Huawei launched the first Huawei MateBook Fold, a notebook with a foldable screen. The company is now working on a successor, which is expected to be a slightly revised version and is slated for release in the second half of the year.

According to a new leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the new Huawei MateBook Fold 2 will be offered in the colors Streaming Gold, Sky White and Phantom Black, as well as in three RAM/storage configurations: 24 GB/512 GB, 24 GB/1 TB and 32 GB/2 TB.
It is rumored to be equipped with a Kirin X9 chipset, and interestingly, Huawei has focused on cost reduction with this successor. Whether this will actually make it cheaper than the original remains to be seen – this strategy could simply be intended to offset the higher costs for RAM and storage space.
