Redmi Note 17 Pro: New teaser video from football to fire hose

Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi Note 17 series on July 14th (Tuesday). The company has already revealed some details about the two upcoming models: the standard model and the Redmi Note 17 Pro. For example, the Pro model will feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and IP69K dust and water resistance.

That’s the focus of a new teaser video: How robust is the Redmi Note 17 Pro really? Inspired by the FIFA World Cup, several Pro devices were attached to a robotic arm acting as a goalkeeper, which successfully saved several penalty kicks. While this part doesn’t quite comply with the rules of football, the smartphones were also pelted with nuts and even a durian fruit for added protection.
Redmi Note 17 Pro vs. Fire Hose
Can a smartphone withstand the powerful jet of water from a fire hose? The video shows how the jet can shatter windows and even move a car. Click “Play” below to see what happened to the smartphone (it’s certified to IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, by the way).
A group photo of the Redmi Note 17 and 17 Pro revealed that the standard model will have a single rear camera (rumored to be a 50MP camera). The Redmi Note 17 Pro, on the other hand, is said to have two cameras. One of them is rumored to be a 200MP sensor, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.
The Redmi Note 17 was recently certified for the global market, along with a seemingly identical device from the Poco brand. Whether the global model is identical to the Chinese one remains to be seen. The same applies to the question of whether the Pro model will be available outside of China.
