Motorola Moto G77 Power unveiled with 7,000 mAh battery and Dimensity 6400 chip

Motorola offers several “G Power” smartphones in India, from the Moto G37 Power and G57 Power to the G67 Power. Now the company has introduced the next model in this series – the Motorola Moto G77 Power, which is more of a blend of existing models than an upgrade.

The Motorola Moto G77 Power features a 7,000 mAh battery – a characteristic of the G Power series, which it shares with its three sibling models mentioned above. Like them, it supports 30-watt TurboPower fast charging and 6-watt reverse charging.

The smartphone is based on the Dimensity 6400, the same chipset used in the G37 Power for India. The G57 Power and G67 Power, on the other hand, use Snapdragon chips, specifically the 6s Gen 4 and the 7s Gen 2, respectively. However, these two models weren’t introduced until the end of 2025, while the G37 Power has been available since April of this year.

The chip is equipped with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD card slot (for cards up to 1 TB) is also included – a feature the smartphone shares with the G37 Power (the other two models do not offer expandable storage). The device ships with Android 16 and will receive an update to Android 17, as well as three years of security updates.

The Motorola Moto G77 Power features a 6.72-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate, similar to its sister models. It’s an 8-bit panel that reaches up to 1050 nits in high-brightness mode. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side.
The Moto G77 Power features a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD display, a 50MP + 8MP rear camera, and a 32MP front camera. The 32MP selfie camera (0.7µm pixels, f/2.2 fixed-focus lens) is embedded in the display. It’s worth noting that only the G67 Power has a 32MP selfie camera; the other two models are equipped with 8MP sensors.

The Motorola Moto G77 Power features a main camera on the back, equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 600 sensor (0.8 µm pixels, f/1.8 lens with phase detection autofocus). This is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (1.12 µm pixels) with a 120° field of view (f/2.2, fixed focus). All three cameras record video in 1080p, but only the main camera records at 60 frames per second.

The Moto G77 Power features a 7,000 mAh battery, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The USB-C port only supports USB 2.0 – which isn’t surprising for a model in this class. Thankfully, the 3.5 mm headphone jack from the other Power models is still present – it’s Hi-Res Audio certified and supports FM radio. Additionally, it includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

This is a 5G smartphone with sub-6 GHz connectivity. It features dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.4, but NFC is not available. The Motorola smartphone is IP64 dustproof and water-resistant (dustproof, splashproof) and has passed MIL-STD-810H testing. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 215 g.
