Tecno Pova 8 5G with very large battery before launch
The long-awaited Tecno Pova 8 5G finally has a release date. The manufacturer announced today that the device will be available in India on June 11th at 12 PM local time.
Tecno has revealed the smartphone’s design in a short teaser video. The video shows that the device features a small dot-matrix display on the back, integrated into the camera unit. The inspiration from Nothing is unmistakable – in addition to the dot-matrix display, the transparent look is also striking.
Thanks to the engravings on the back, we know that the Tecno Pova 8 5G has an 8,000 mAh battery. This means it shares the title of having the largest Tecno battery with the Pova Curve 2.
Like the Pova Curve 2, the Pova 8 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, as a previous Geekbench test showed. It will be equipped with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of internal storage, and Android 16. According to FCC certification, the battery can be charged via cable at up to 45 watts.
