Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra to have a larger battery than the Z Fold7

After leaker Ice Universe revealed new details about the upcoming widescreen smartphone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 yesterday, he has now shared new information about the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7, which is rumored to be launched as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.


According to the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will retain the same weight of 215 grams as the Galaxy Z Fold7. However, the upcoming foldable smartphone is said to have a larger 5,000 mAh battery. It’s worth noting that Samsung used a 4,400 mAh battery in the Z Fold7. The tipster also claims that the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will support faster charging at 45 watts.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra only 4.1 mm thin
The upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to be slightly thinner than its predecessor when unfolded, measuring just 4.1 mm. Aside from the reduced thickness, most of the device’s dimensions and display size are expected to remain largely unchanged compared to the Galaxy Z Fold7. According to yesterday’s leak, the weight will drop from 215 g to 201 g.

A direct comparison of the widescreen Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra was also recently published by the tipster, allowing a closer look at the design differences between the two devices.
Rumours suggest that Samsung will unveil the two foldable Galaxy smartphones along with the Galaxy Z Flip8 at an event on July 22nd.
