Huawei nova 16 Ultra with 200 MP main camera and 7,000 mAh battery is here

As expected, Huawei today unveiled its nova 16 series in China, comprising four models. The top model is the Huawei nova 16 Ultra, which boasts impressive camera features and a considerable battery capacity.

Battery and display
The Huawei nova 16 Ultra features a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and up to 7.5W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone is also dustproof and waterproof according to IP68 and IP69 standards.

The Huawei nova 16 Ultra features a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of 1–120 Hz. The panel is protected by Kunlun glass and achieves a maximum local brightness of 6,000 nits. The 50-megapixel front camera is housed in a pill-shaped cutout, complemented by a 1.5-megapixel spectral sensor. The fingerprint scanner is located on the right side, above the power button.

Inside, Huawei’s own Kirin 9010S chipset is at work. This chip premiered last year in the Pura 80. It also supports satellite communication in China and enables sending and receiving text messages via Beidou satellites.

The back of the Huawei smartphone features an interesting camera module covered in vegan leather. Two larger cutouts house a total of three cameras, a spectral sensor, and an LED flash.
200 MP main camera
The hardware is particularly impressive thanks to the 200MP RYYB main sensor (1/1.28 inch). It features an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Huawei has also integrated a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and a focal length of 88mm (35mm equivalent). The third camera is a 50MP ultra-wide-angle macro lens with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Nova 16 Ultra comes standard with Huawei’s HarmonyOS 6.1 and is available in blue, white and black.
