The Honor Power 2 launched in January with an impressive 10,080 mAh battery, but the brand isn’t resting on its laurels – quite the opposite. According to a new rumor from China, the Honor Power 3 is already well under development. One goal seems to be setting a new battery life record for smartphones.

Honor is reportedly aiming for a battery capacity of 11,000 to 12,000 mAh, but the exact figure is not yet known. The smartphone will be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8600 chipset.

Honor Power 3 with 6.8-inch LTPS OLED display

The Honor smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch flat LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. If these specifications prove accurate, it would have a 920 to 1,920 mAh larger battery and a newer chipset (the Power 2 uses the Dimensity 8500) compared to its predecessor. The display itself, however, would remain unchanged in terms of both size and specifications.

It could be several months before the Honor Power 3 actually hits the market, so we are eagerly awaiting the next rumors and leaks.
