Microsoft today updated four of its laptops: the Microsoft Surface Laptop 13-inch, the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch, the Surface Laptop 15-inch, and the Surface Pro 13. The new devices are equipped with the recently released Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors; versions with Snapdragon X2 processors are expected later this year.

Microsoft Surface Laptop

The Microsoft Surface Laptop, available in 13.8-inch and 15-inch models, now offers new display options, some of which include a privacy display similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The 15-inch model boasts a higher resolution but remains an LCD screen. OLED versions are expected to be released in the coming months.

Another notable improvement to the Microsoft Surface Laptop 13.8-inch and 15-inch models is the new trackpad. It now supports the haptic feedback features of Windows 11. You receive subtle feedback when interacting with certain UI elements on the screen, such as docking an app window or aligning objects.

The mid-range Microsoft Surface Laptop 13-inch shouldn’t be overlooked either. It also comes with the new Intel chips and is now available with an anti-glare display. This version costs $1,499 (€1,293), but a cheaper version with 8 GB of RAM and without Copilot+ features is planned. It will cost $1,299 (€1,121).

Microsoft Surface Pro

The Microsoft Surface Pro 13-inch, on the other hand, receives a moderate hardware upgrade with the new Core Ultra chips. This means it does not have the new touchpad found on the Surface laptops.

The flagship Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models are available starting at $1,949 (€1,682) with Intel Core Ultra 5 processors and 16 GB of RAM. Microsoft justifies the price increases with rising component costs.

Please note that these are variants for business customers, while the commercial versions are expected to be released later this summer along with the OLED notebooks.
