DJI Osmo Pocket 4P: First teasers confirm dual camera

DJI unveiled the DJI Osmo Mobile 8P smartphone gimbal yesterday and the Osmo Pocket 4 last month. For unknown reasons, the company did not simultaneously launch the much-discussed pro version, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. However, its release is considered certain, as is its international availability shortly thereafter.
This is clearly evident from DJI’s release of a teaser video for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P on its global YouTube channel. The video not only showcases the device from various perspectives but also confirms the much-discussed main selling point: the additional camera.

The second camera, as you may have already guessed, is a telephoto lens. It features a 3x optical zoom and complements the main camera, which is likely exactly the same as the one used in the Osmo Pocket 4 – naturally with a 1-inch sensor.
According to the video, the Osmo Pocket 4P’s slogan is: “See more. Tell more.” It will be interesting to see how much more expensive the 4P will be compared to the 4 – in other words, how much the price premium is for the telephoto lens. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information about the vlogging camera.
