The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max and Pura 90 Pro are here to usher in a new era for Huawei’s flagship series. Both models feature a redesigned look and striking color gradients reminiscent of the Huawei P30 series. And as is typical of Huawei, they continue to offer first-class camera technology.

Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max boasts a massive 1/1.28-inch periscope telephoto sensor with 200 MP resolution and an f/2.6 aperture. This module, with its 4x optical zoom, is equivalent to a 96 mm focal length and, according to Huawei, is designed to deliver detailed images even in challenging lighting conditions. It also benefits from CIPA 7.0 image stabilization (7-stop stabilization).

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max is also the first Huawei smartphone to feature a 50MP RYYB main camera with a LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) sensor. This sensor supports a variable aperture of f/1.4–4.0 with 10 stops of dynamic range and optical image stabilization (OIS). The third module on the back of the Pura 90 Pro Max is a 40MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Furthermore, both smartphones are equipped with Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9030S chipset, which Huawei claims offers 200% higher image processing power (NPU) as well as various improvements to the AI-powered integrated graphics processor (ISP). Despite the size difference, both Pura 90 Pro models feature 6,000 mAh batteries that support 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

They also come with the latest HarmonyOS 6.1 version, which includes a built-in AI assistant as well as AI-powered image editing and object removal tools.

Huawei Pura 90 Pro

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro features a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display, while the Pro Max boasts a 6.9-inch screen. Both offer FHD+ resolution, a variable refresh rate of 1–120 Hz, and second-generation scratch-resistant Kunlun glass. They also include a 13 MP front-facing camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, they are IP68/69 water and dust resistant.

The Pura 90 Pro features a 50-megapixel RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/4.0, and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with an f/2.1 aperture and 4x optical zoom. The third module is a 12.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
