The newest DJI’s flagship gimbal camera is now official and offers numerous improvements over the Osmo Pocket 3 from 2023. The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 features a completely new 1-inch CMOS sensor (f/2.0) with a 20mm equivalent focal length, supporting 4K/240 fps slow-motion recording, a dynamic range of 14 stops, and 10-bit D-Log mode.

The camera can capture 37-megapixel photos with a maximum resolution of 7,680 × 4,320 pixels in 16:9 format and supports DNG RAW as well as manual exposure times of up to 4 seconds. The Pocket 4 also offers an updated 2x lossless zoom in 4K resolution and a new 4x zoom mode for 1080p. For standard video recording, the Pocket 4 supports resolutions up to 4K at 24/25/30/48/50/60 frames per second.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 features 3-axis stabilization and supports DJI ActiveTrack 7.0, which now enables subject tracking even at 4x zoom. Additionally, Spotlight Follow and Dynamic Framing modes are available, supporting people, animals, vehicles, and even specific faces. DJI has also added six new movie sound filters.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 features an updated 2.0-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 556 x 314 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits, which should be significantly brighter than the 700 nits of the Pocket 3. The display can be switched between horizontal and vertical orientation.

DJI has also added new controls, including a dedicated zoom button for switching between 1x and 2x modes. Additionally, there’s a custom preset button for quick access to preset modes, and a 5D variable-speed joystick.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 offers 107 GB of internal storage with transfer speeds of up to 800 MB/s and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE 5.4.

The battery has a capacity of 1,545 mAh and, according to DJI, allows for up to 240 minutes of video recording at 1080p/24fps. With a 65W charger, it can be charged from 0 to 80% in 18 minutes; a full charge takes 32 minutes.
