Oppo Find N6 with crease-free display, 200 MP camera and 6,000 mAh battery is here

The Oppo Find N6 sets new standards for foldable smartphones. Oppo has used its technical expertise to solve the typical problems of foldable phones, such as the visible crease and the lack of dust and water resistance.

Some of the most important improvements of the Oppo Find N6 are therefore under the hood. This includes the fastest chipset currently on the market, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It is equipped with 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM at 4266 MHz and optionally 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS-4.1 storage.

Another improvement concerns the battery, which now has a 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon cell (previously 5,600 mAh) and continues to support the 80-watt SuperVOOC and 50-watt AirVOOC charging technologies.
The design of the Oppo Find N6 is the biggest improvement. It has almost identical dimensions to its predecessor and the same screen diagonal. However, Oppo has redesigned the hinge – it’s now a second-generation Titanium Flexion hinge that’s 11% wider and has a smoother teardrop shape when the screen is folded to reduce wear and tear over the years.

Because the hinge consists of dozens of individual parts with varying heights, the foldable display sits unevenly on top, creating a crease. Oppo measured the hinge surface with a laser scan precision of 0.3 micrometers and then applied polymer droplets using a 3D liquid printing process, which were then cured layer by layer with UV light. This reduces the hinge’s unevenness from approximately 0.2 mm to 0.05 mm.

Oppo states that the foldable display layer, made of “self-leveling flex glass,” is 50% thicker, has 100% better shape recovery, and is 338% more resistant to deformation. According to Oppo, the display also actively springs back when unfolded.

All of this means that the crease should be less noticeable during use and should not increase in size over the years. Oppo states that the Find N6 has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for 600,000 folds without creasing and up to 1 million folds in total. But it’s not just the durability of the folding mechanism that has been improved. The Oppo Find N6 is now also dustproof and certified to IP56, IP58, and IP59 standards.
Cameras
The cameras and displays are largely identical. On the back, the Oppo Find N6 features a new 200MP main camera, but it uses the same 1/1.56-inch sensor (ISOCELL HP5). The lens is slightly brighter at 21mm and f/1.8 (compared to f/1.9 on the previous model). It also includes a true-color sensor, which was first used in the Find X9 series. It enables precise white balance and natural colors.

The zoom lens uses the same 1/2.75-inch image sensor (ISOCELL JN5), but a slightly different lens: 70 mm f/2.7 (compared to 75 mm f/2.7).
Only the Oppo Find N6’s ultrawide camera offers a significant improvement, featuring a much larger new 50MP sensor (1/2.75 inch, JN5) under a new 15mm lens with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. The selfie cameras on both screens have also been revamped: 20MP (1/3.42 inch, ISOCELL KD1) with what appears to be the same 21mm lens with an f/2.4 aperture and fixed focus.

The displays are brighter – the outdoor display reaches a maximum of 1,800 nits and a peak of 3,600 nits outdoors, while the indoor display reaches 1,800 nits and 2,500 nits, respectively. Otherwise, the screen diagonals and resolutions remain the same: a 6.62-inch LTPO display (1–120 Hz) with 2616 × 1140 pixels on the front and an 8.12-inch LTPO display (1–120 Hz) with 2480 × 2248 pixels on the inside. Both panels support 10-bit Dolby Vision.

The Oppo Find N6 launches with Android 16 and ColorOS 16. Oppo promises 5 years of Android operating system updates and 6 years of security updates.
