Honor Magic V6 unveiled with SD 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and 6,660 mAh Si-C battery
Honor opened MWC 2026 with the unveiling of its latest foldable smartphone – the Honor Magic V6. It is a milestone, not only for Honor, but for foldable smartphones in general, as it is the first device to have IP68 and IP69 protection ratings.
And it is a true flagship, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a triple camera with a dedicated triple optical periscope zoom lens and an improved 6,660 mAh Si-C battery.
Honor Magic V6 steel hinge with a lifespan of 500,000 folds
From a technical standpoint, this is Honor’s most robust foldable notebook to date. It features a new steel hinge made from the strongest commercially available steel and has been tested in Honor’s internal labs for up to 500,000 fold and unfold cycles.
Despite its improved robustness, the Magic V6 is remarkably thin and light. When folded, it measures 8.75 mm, exactly the same as a iPhone 17 Pro Max. However, at 219 grams for the white model, it weighs significantly less. When unfolded, the Magic V6 is only 4 mm thin.
7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display
The Honor Magic V6 features a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,172 x 2,352 pixels and a variable refresh rate of 1–120 Hz. It is equipped with a reinforced ultra-thin glass layer (UTG), and the crease is reduced by 44%, making it less visible than on its predecessor Magic V5. Honor has also added a new anti-reflective coating for improved readability. The maximum local brightness is now up to 5,000 nits.
The external display measures 6.52 inches and offers the same variable refresh rate of 1–120 Hz (LTPO 2.0), FHD+ resolution, and a maximum local brightness of 6,000 nits. Both the external and main displays support stylus input and feature 20 MP selfie cameras.
Chipset and cameras
The Honor Magic V6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It comes in two storage configurations – 16/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB – both based on fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
The back of the phone features Honor’s familiar triple-camera setup: a 50MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). This is complemented by a 64MP periscope telephoto lens (1/2″ sensor, 70mm equivalent) with 3x optical zoom. The third lens on the back is a 50MP ultrawide camera.
The Honor Magic V6 can be integrated into the Apple ecosystem.
In terms of software, the Magic V6 comes with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Honor promises seven important Android upgrades. Honor also offers improved cross-platform functionality for Apple devices. Honor Connect now supports bidirectional notification synchronization between the Magic V6 and Apple devices like iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Mac users can seamlessly share files with the Magic V6 and even use its main screen as a second screen.
The smartphone also features a powerful 6,660 mAh Si-C battery with 25% silicon content and an energy density of 921 Wh/L.
The smartphone supports fast wired charging at 80 watts and wireless charging at 66 watts, as well as reverse wireless charging.
Colors
The Honor Magic V6 will be available in red, gold, white, and black. Honor has not yet released any details regarding pricing or availability.
