Vloggers and tech enthusiasts worldwide rely on the gimbal cameras of the DJI Pocket series And for good reason. Rumors about an upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 model have been circulating for some time now, as the current model Osmo Pocket 3 will be three years old at the end of the year.

Previous leaks suggested a dual-lens design with a second zoom camera, similar to a recent leak regarding the Insta360 Luna and especially the dual-camera systems of some DJI drones. However, the latest leaked hands-on video shows a very familiar design with only one lens, but still some notable changes.

The dual-lens design could indicate a new model, namely the first DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. Compared to the current Osmo Pocket 3, the successor appears to have a longer handle, a new “C” button, and a zoom button of sorts. The flip-out screen and the entire gimbal construction seem to be unchanged.

Crucially, one of the gimbal’s joints appears to have an LED light, which the current Pocket 3 lacks. Specifically, there’s no official-looking light with the “OSMO” logo on the back. Of course, there are other clues that support the video’s authenticity, such as the “POCKET 4” logo on the side of the device.

The video was allegedly filmed at an authorized DJI store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after someone entered the shop carrying a DJI Osmo Pocket 4. The story sounds rather implausible, but it wouldn’t be the first time early footage of unannounced DJI technology has surfaced from Malaysia.

Unfortunately, the video only briefly focuses on the software of the action cam. The user interface appears largely unchanged overall. However, there seems to be a new “SuperPhoto” mode with a 33 MP photo resolution. An earlier listing on Amazon Denmark for the yet-to-be-announced DJI Osmo Pocket 4 suggested that it would retain the 1-inch camera sensor but surpass the Pocket 3’s recording capabilities, offering 4K at 240 fps instead of the current 4K at 120 fps limit.

A larger battery might also be planned, which would go well with the longer stem. The Amazon listing also indicated a retail price between $550 and $700, depending on the chosen bundle. This is likely what buyers in Asia and Europe can expect. Unfortunately, the price in the US will most likely be higher due to tariffs, assuming DJI is even able to sell the Pocket 4 in the US without falling under the “foreign drone” ban.
