Confirmed: Sony WF-1000XM6 flagship earphones are coming next week

Attention Sony fans! The next member of the flagship WF-1000X series will be released in less than a week. The company has just released a teaser for the new Sony WF-1000XM6, which is scheduled to launch on February 12th. This comes three weeks after the launch of the LinkBuds Clip.
Sony’s last flagship model, the WF-1000XM5, was released back in 2023, so its successors are long overdue. A recent leak from earlier this week allowed us to take a first look at the Sony WF-1000XM6.

They are said to feature a redesigned look, with the earbuds appearing wider than their predecessors and including an additional microphone grille. Their charging case also seems to be larger than that of the XM5.
Even though we don’t yet have detailed technical data, we know that the Sony earphones will have IPX4 protection against water and moisture ingress and will be available in at least two colors – black and silver. The retail price is expected to be around €322/US$380.
