While Sony recently announced the LinkBuds Clip earbuds, many are wondering when the Japanese company will finally release its next true flagship model. A new leak has now provided several images of the Sony WF-1000XM6 and its pricing.

The Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds appeared on a product page of a Thai retailer, which has since been deleted. We can see the redesigned earbuds, which appear to be wider than their predecessors and have a completely matte finish.

A second grille is visible on the earbud housing, which likely contains an additional external microphone. This means that the WF-1000XM6 could have three external microphones in addition to an internal one, for a total of four microphones per earbud. The WF-1000XM5 have three microphones per side.

The product description does not contain detailed technical specifications, but the IPX4 certification of the earbuds is confirmed. They also appear to have foam ear tips, just like their predecessors.

The charging case of the Sony headphones also features a revised design, resembling a rounded cuboid. It appears to be completely matte and is expected to be available in at least two colors – black and silver.

The product page also lists a suggested retail price of 11,990 THB, which is roughly equivalent to €322/US$380. For comparison, the WF-1000XM5 was released in 2023 for €320/US$300. Sony has not yet officially confirmed the details of the WF-1000XM6. However, today’s leak strongly suggests that the market launch is imminent.
