HMD Watch X1, Watch P1 and HMD Dub TWS earbuds unveiled

HMD is now also represented in the smartwatch business and has launched its premium smartwatch HMD Watch X1 and the versatile Watch P1. Additionally, six new true wireless earbuds from the Dub series were presented.
HMD Watch X1 and Watch P1
The HMD Watch X1 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Thanks to OLED technology, it supports an always-on display and animated watch faces. The Watch P1 is equipped with a 1.83-inch LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 284 pixels and a peak brightness of 550 nits.

Both the HMD Watch X1 and the Watch P1 launch with a proprietary real-time operating system (RTOS) and are controlled via the HMD Watch app, which is available for Android and iOS. The Watch X1 is IP68 water and dust resistant, while the P1 is IP67 resistant. Both support Bluetooth calls, app and message notifications, and music control.




Both watches feature the same sensors, including heart rate and SpO2 sensors, and can record over 700 activities. They also offer sleep and stress monitoring, as well as calorie burn tracking during activities. Both watches come with standard 22mm straps for easy adjustment.

The HMD Watch X1 has a battery life of up to 5 days with the always-on display enabled, while the Watch P1 lasts up to 4 days. Both watches are charged via proprietary magnetic chargers.


The Watch X1 is available in grey-green, black, grey-metallic, and silver leather, while the Watch P1 comes in black and silver. HMD has not yet released any details regarding pricing and availability.
Various new HMD TWS earbuds
MD also announced a total of six new TWS earbuds, with the Dub X50 Pro being promoted as the flagship model featuring Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, ANC, up to 60 hours of playback time (15.8 hours with the earbuds), IPX4 splash resistance and four microphones.


The HMD Dub X50 offer similar specifications to the X50 Pro, but lack active noise cancellation (ANC). The total playback time is 70 hours, with the earbuds themselves contributing an impressive 17.9 hours.




The Dub S60 offer up to 35 hours of playback time and ambient noise cancellation (ENC). The Dub P70 feature active noise cancellation (ANC) and offer up to 45 hours of playback time. The Dub P60 achieve 30 hours of playback time, while the Dub P50 are rated at 25 hours.
According to HMD, the Dub X50 will cost 1,790 PHP (25 Euros/30 US Dollars) in the Philippines. The Dub S60 will cost 1,690 PHP (24 Euros/28 US Dollars), while the Dub P60 will be offered for 1,190 PHP (17 Euros/20 US Dollars).
