Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition and Xiaomi Day before launch
The Poco X7 Pro was released back in January of last year, so its successor is definitely expected soon. In fact, the Poco X8 Pro was already certified in July. A new certification now points to a special edition of the smartphone: the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition, undoubtedly in collaboration with Marvel.
This device has now been certified for sale in Thailand by the NBTC. Its model number is 2511FPC34G. Rumours suggest the Poco X8 Pro is based on the Redmi Turbo 5, which is expected to be unveiled in China this month. There will also reportedly be a Poco X8 Pro Max, which is a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
Therefore, these models are expected to feature 1.5K resolution touchscreens and, in some regions (most likely not in Europe due to transport regulations), an impressive 9,000 mAh battery. The Poco X8 Pro could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, while the X8 Pro Max may rely on the Dimensity 9500.
Xiaomi Tag: First images and technical data discovered in the HyperOS code
Last month, a report claimed that the Xiaomi Tag was in development, essentially as the Chinese company’s version of Apple’s AirTag and Motorola’s Moto Tag.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would look like, today’s leak provides some clues. Hints, images, and a video can be found in the source code of Xiaomi’s HyperOS Android interface.
As you can see, it has an oval shape. The code also revealed that the Xiaomi Tag, just like Samsung Galaxy Smart Tags, will be equipped with a CR2032 button cell battery.
There will be two models of the Xiaomi Tag, one with UWB support and one without. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi Tag will likely only be available in China, at least initially.
