Xiaomi 15T: Spy photo shows larger display, new chip and battery
Xiaomi is launching the new T series next week. The T models are traditionally very similar to flagships, but trade some of the camera performance for better value. We’ve already had a few leaks, but here’s the best preview so far. The Xiaomi 15T was photographed with the protective case included in the box, which has many important specifications printed on it.
The Xiaomi 15T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, just like the Poco X7 Pro from the same company. However, the 15T will have a larger 6.83-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, compared to the Poco’s 6.67-inch display. The panel is also larger than the 6.67-inch display of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14T.
Xiaomi 15T without a Si/C battery?
The Xiaomi smartphone is powered by a 5,500 mAh battery with 67-watt fast charging, a 500 mAh improvement over last year’s T-Phone. The battery would thus be smaller than the Poco (6,000 mAh) and would not be based on the new Si/C technology. With silicon/carbon batteries, 7,000 mAh would easily be possible, as the new Redmi 15 models have just confirmed.
There are no details about the cameras yet, except that the Leica Summilux lenses are making a comeback. For comparison, last year’s 14T had a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and OIS, a 50 MP 2x/50 mm telephoto lens, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32 MP selfie camera.
Pro model with Dimensity 9400+ chip
Like every year, there will also be a Xiaomi 15T Pro model, and based on what we’ve seen in the Geekbench database, it should The high-end chipset Dimensity 9400+ was used in the Redmi K80 Ultra.
