Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 with USB-C audio and longer battery life are here
Bose has officially introduced the second generation of its QuietComfort Ultra wireless headphones, the latest addition to its popular noise-cancelling lineup. While the series’ renowned sound quality and industry-leading ANC remain, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 also offers audio via USB-C, something missing from the previous generation. The 2.5 mm headphone jack remains, and a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm audio cable is included.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 retains the familiar look of its predecessor. However, under the hood, Bose has implemented some important improvements. The proprietary CustomTune technology is now even more effective, automatically adjusting audio performance and noise cancellation to the individual shape of each ear.
Bose promises excellent noise cancellation that effectively suppresses distractions in any environment. The improved Aware mode ensures more natural-sounding ambient noise. Bose also introduces a new Cinema mode with a wider soundstage and clear dialogue reproduction.
The QC Ultra (2nd generation) supports Bluetooth 5.4 and the SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm AptX Adaptive audio codecs. Battery life has been slightly improved, offering up to 30 hours of listening time on a single charge with ANC enabled and 45 hours with ANC disabled.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Generation) is available in black, midnight purple, driftwood sand, and white. However, the price isn’t cheap – €499.95/$450/£450 is what Bose is asking for. Delivery is planned for early October.
