Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) with significantly larger battery
Amidst the excitement surrounding the global launch of the Pura 80, Huawei also unveiled an updated version of the 2023 MatePad 11.5. The new Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) features a sharper display with improved PaperMatte technology, a larger battery with faster charging, and much more.
The 11.5-inch IPS LCD display now offers a resolution of 2,450 x 1,600 pixels (256 ppi, 3:2 aspect ratio) – previously it was 2,200 x 1,200 pixels. It achieves a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness of 600 nits (with DC dimming).
The optional PaperMatte technology uses nano-etching to reduce reflections by 60% and light interference by 99%. A new circular polarization filter further improves visibility and visual comfort and is even compatible with sunglasses.
Thanks to support for the 3rd generation M-Pencil, the tablet can use AI to refine your handwriting, organize handwritten notes, highlight important points, or simply let you sketch – with or without AI support.
The redesigned Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) is slimmer, measuring just 6.1 mm (previously 6.9 mm), but weighs slightly more at 515 g (previously 499 g). Huawei claims it’s 30% more robust than its predecessor. It is available in purple and space gray.
Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) with new 10,100 mAh battery
Part of the weight is the new 10,100 mAh battery, which promises up to 14 hours of streaming on a single charge (the 2023 Pad had a 7,700 mAh battery). In addition, the charging power is now almost twice as high with 40 watt SuperCharge.
The tablet does not use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and replaces it with an in -house Kirin 8020. A 67 % larger graphite plate improves cooling. The tablet is equipped with 8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB memory.
Harmonyos 4.3 supports multitasking with floating window. With the Superhub you can easily find and share files with just one click between tablet, smartphone and computer.
As mentioned above, the MatePad 11.5 (2025) features redesigned antennas that promise a 30% higher Wi-Fi throughput. Four speakers are also integrated for immersive sound. Back to connectivity: There’s a USB-C 2.0 port, and Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 (LDAC HD) are supported.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) has two cameras: a 13 MP rear camera (f/1.8 AF lens) and an 8 MP front camera.
Pricing
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) will be available in Europe and other regions later this month. The base model with 8/128 GB storage costs €290. The PaperMatte Edition with 8/256 GB storage and an optional keyboard cover is available for €430.
