Garmin’s latest health tracker is a smart sleep bracelet that attaches to the upper arm. The Garmin Index Sleep Monitor offers detailed sleep tracking with sleep stages, sleep index, heart rate variability (HRV), and breathing variations.

There are no screens or buttons on the Garmin Index Sleep Monitor. Simply attach the band to your arm before going to bed, and it starts recording data.

The Sleep Monitor consists of two parts: an adjustable strap made of breathable nylon/elastane material and a removable disc containing the sensors.

You get an optical heart rate sensor, an SpO2 monitor, a skin temperature sensor, and a women’s health monitor.

Garmin Index Sleep Monitor with Smart Alarm Clock

The Garmin Index data is synchronized with your smartphone or your Garmin smartwatch via the Garmin Connect app. You can also use the watch with a smart alarm that only vibrates when you’re in a light sleep phase.

Garmin promises a battery life of seven days between charges. The Garmin Index sleep monitor is available in sizes S–XL and costs €170/$170/£150.

The smartwatch can already be ordered on the company’s website. The first deliveries are expected in 3–5 weeks.
