Tecno Spark 40 series is here, 40 Pro+ with Helio G200
The Tecno Spark 40 series, with three models, is here. The Spark 40 is the entry-level device in the group, while the 40 Pro and Pro+ offer higher-resolution displays, faster chipsets, and IP64 protection.
Tecno Spark 40 Pro+
The Spark 40 Pro+ is the first smartphone with MediaTek’s Helio G200 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display offers a resolution of 1220p+ and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The panel features an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 13 MP selfie camera.
On the back, there’s a 50 MP main camera and an unspecified secondary sensor. The 5200 mAh battery supports 45 watts of wired, 30 watts of wireless, and 5 watts of wireless reverse charging. On the software side, it runs HiOS 15.1 based on Android 15. The smartphone is also IP64 water and dust resistant.
The Spark 40 Pro+ is available in Nebula Black, Aurora White, Moon Titanium, and Tundra Green. In Uganda, the device costs 769,000 UGX (182 €/214 US dollars) and is currently available for pre-order there.
Tecno Spark 40 Pro
The Tecno Spark 40 Pro features a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with the same 1220p+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate as the Pro+ model. It has a Helio G100 chipset, 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.
The remaining specifications are the same as those of the Spark 40 Pro+: It has a 50 MP main camera on the rear and a 13 MP front camera. The device is IP64 water and dust resistant and features a 5,200 mAh battery with 45W wired charging.
The Spark 40 Pro is available in Ink Black, Lunar Titanium, Sea Blue, and Bamboo Green. Its price in Uganda is 679,000 UGX (€161/US$189). Sales begin there on July 7.
Tecno Spark 40
The base model, the Tecno Spark 40, offers a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. While it only has an 8 MP front camera, the main camera has a resolution of 50 MP.
The device has a Helio G81 chipset. Paired under the hood with up to 8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB integrated memory. The software runs with HIOS 15.1 based on Android 15. The battery has a capacity of 5,200 mAh and supports 45 watt charging processes.
The Spark 40 is available in the colors ink -black, Titangrau, Schleierweiß and Mirageblau. The price is 479,000 UGX (€ 113/$ 133).
