Motorola Moto G56, G86 and G86 Power are here

Motorola has announced three new G-series smartphones. Although the trio looks nearly identical, there are some subtle differences in their specifications. The Motorola Moto G86 and Moto G86 Power feature the same hardware, except for the battery. At a whopping 6,720 mAh, the latter is the largest battery ever installed in a Motorola smartphone. The Motorola Moto G56 is a cheaper entry-level model with a little less oomph at a lower price.
Motorola Moto G86 and G86 Power
The new Motorola Moto G86 and Moto G86 Power feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel achieves a maximum local brightness of up to 4,500 nits and is equipped with Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an integrated fingerprint scanner.




Both smartphones are equipped with the Dimensity 7300 chipset, which works together with 8 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. The cameras include a 50 MP main camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also serves as a macro camera. There is a 32 MP selfie camera on the front.

The software runs Android 15. Both Motorola Moto G86 smartphones support charging with up to 30 watts, with the standard model featuring a 5,200 mAh battery and the Power model featuring a large 6,720 mAh cell. In addition, both Motos are IP68/IP69 water and dust resistant and meet the MIL-STD 810H standard.
The Motorola Moto G86 and Moto G86 Power are available in Pantone Spellbound, Pantone Cosmic Sky, Pantone Golden Cypress, and Pantone Chrysanthemum. The Moto G86 costs €299 in Germany and £280 in the UK. The G86 Power costs €329 or £299.
Motorola Moto G56
Unlike its new siblings in the G series, the Motorola Moto G56 features a 6.72-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It introduces MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7060 chipset, which hasn’t even been officially announced yet.

The Dimensity 7060 features an eight-core CPU clocked at up to 2.6 GHz and an Imagination IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. It also comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The Motorola Moto G56 features the same 50 MP main camera and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera as the Moto G86 and G86 Power. It also has IP68/69 water resistance and a 5,200 mAh battery with 30 W charging.


The Motorola Moto G56 is available in Pantone Black Oyster, Pantone Dazzling Blue, Pantone Gray Mist, and Pantone Dill. The retail price is €250/£199.
