vivo X200 Ultra gets photo kit and additional zoom lens

vivo has introduced two new optional camera accessories for the X200 Ultra. Han Boxiao, the product manager for the vivo X200 Ultra, showed initial images and revealed details about a photo kit and an additional zoom lens developed jointly with Zeiss. The kit is similar to the photo kits for Xiaomi’s Ultra smartphones.

The vivo model features a two-tone design: the camera grip appears to be made of metal, while the opposite side is covered in synthetic leather. A shutter button can be seen at the top of the grip, with what appears to be a scroll wheel behind it. Han Boxiao revealed that the vivo X200 Ultra’s photo kit features a USB Type-C port and a 2,300 mAh battery. The accessory also features a dedicated video button and a stylish shoulder strap attachment.

The zoom lens attaches to the vivo X200 Ultra via a custom adapter and sits above the phone’s 200MP periscope zoom lens. It features an intricate 13-piece glass lens setup that extends the native 3.7x optical zoom of the 200MP sensor.

The additional zoom lens offers an f/2.3 aperture with a 200mm equivalent focal length, 8.7x optical zoom, and up to 70x hybrid zoom. The post claims that shots at a focal length of up to 800mm (35x zoom) are “very usable,” while shots up to a focal length of 1,600mm (70x zoom) are possible.
Unfortunately, vivo has not yet revealed any pricing or availability details for either the camera kit or the additional zoom lens.
