Poco X7 Pro gets Sony camera and Iron Man Edition
The Xiaomi Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro will be presented on Thursday next week. Thanks to Poco’s branch in Thailand, which is currently posting new teasers almost every day, further technical data and a special version have come to light today. First of all, the new specs – apparently at least the Pro model will be waterproof according to the IP68 standard.
Xiaomi has also revealed the main camera sensor of the Poco X7 Pro. It is a Sony IMX882 chip with a resolution of 50 MP, a sensor size of 1/1.95 inches and a pixel size of 0.8 µm. The IMX882 supports PDAF, OIS and EIS and is a good choice in the lower mid-range. However, Sony has already replaced it in the portfolio with the newer Sony LYT 600 sensor, which drives the main camera of the Realme 12+, for example.
Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition
Xiaomi will also launch another version, the Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition. Again, these are official teasers from Thailand. On the back of the Iron Man Edition, you can see a golden Poco logo, the equally golden Iron Man helmet, and the Marvel Avengers logo/lettering. Also, the main cameras and power button have red accents, which looks pretty cool in our humble opinion.
The Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition will likely have the same hardware as the standard version, but you can expect it to come with some Iron Man-inspired themes, icons, and wallpapers. However, it remains to be seen whether it will be powered by a 6,000mAh battery or a 6,550mAh cell, as the latter is exclusive to the Indian market.
Xiaomi has not yet revealed all the technical details and features of the X7 Pro. In addition to today’s confirmations, the chipset is also already known – the smartphone is powered by a Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor. The operating system is HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. As is typical for Xiaomi smartphones, fast charging is also supported, namely with 90 watts via cable. The price is said to be less than 30,000 INR (340 €/350 $).
