After the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro and the Honor Magic7 and Magic7 Pro, the next flagship phone with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is here – hello OnePlus 13. The extremely powerful chip is one thing. But there is also a premium BOE display, an IP69 protection class and a larger 6,000 mAh silicon carbon battery.

In terms of display, the OnePlus 13 switches to a 2.5D quad-curved structure. The display looks flat but is subtly curved on all four sides. The 6.82-inch panel is based on a BOE X2 OLED. This is an 8T LTPO OLED panel with 1440p resolution and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The typical brightness is now 800 nits, while the peak brightness reaches a strong 4,500 nits. The other new feature is the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus phone is IP69 water and dust resistant. Compared to an IP68 rating, it is also protected against high-pressure liquids and steam cleaning. Another rather rare feature is the new vibration motor with “feedback at gaming controller level”. With a volume of 602 mm³, OnePlus claims that this is the largest vibration motor ever built into an Android smartphone.

OnePlus 13 with three 50 MP cameras

On the back of the OnePlus 13 there are three 50 MP cameras from the Hasselblad brand. The main camera with 23 mm uses a Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS. This is joined by a 3x LYT-600 periscope with 73 mm focal length. The third camera is a 15 mm ultra-wide-angle camera with Samsung’s S5KJN5 sensor, which also serves as a macro camera.

The OnePlus 13 launches the in-house ColorOS 15 interface, which is already based on Android 15. But as usual, this is only the version for the Chinese market. International models are expected to come onto the market with OxygenOS 15.

Other highlights at OnePlus are traditionally the charging functions, with the new model being no exception with 100 watts wired and 50 watts wireless. In addition, there is a new 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which should be a new record in terms of flagship smartphones.

OnePlus 13 prices

The OnePlus 13 is available in white, obsidian and blue. Prices in China start at 4,499 CNY (583 €/632 $) for the 12/256 GB version and rise to 5,999 CNY (778 €/842 $) for the top model with 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.

Open sales in China will begin on November 1st, while international availability will be announced at a later date.
