Google Circle-to-Search finally comes to more mobile brands
First introduced in 2023, the Google Circle to Search feature allows you to circle anything on the screen and perform a visual search using Google’s search engine and Google Lens. Since its launch, the functionality has only been available on select Samsung Galaxy phones and Google’s Pixel smartphones. But that’s about to change.
Tecno has reportedly confirmed to a number of reviewers that their recently announced foldable Tecno V Fold2 will get the Circle to Search feature sometime next month.
This in turn means that Google plans to roll out the feature to other manufacturers as well. Currently, the feature is limited to Google Pixel devices and Samsung’s Galaxy models.
Although this is not an official confirmation from Google, the news is pretty close. And the good news is that the rollout is expected to begin as early as October.
